RKVY-RAFTAAR Program for Student Agripreneurs

Applications are now open for the RKVY-RAFTAAR Program, an initiative by the Government of India aimed at supporting students and aspiring agri-entrepreneurs working on innovative solutions in agriculture and allied sectors. The program is being supported by the Foundation for Innovation & Research in Science & Technology (FIRST), IIT Kanpur, through the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur, serving as the knowledge partner.

The program is designed to help early-stage innovators transform agriculture and rural innovation ideas into scalable startups. Selected participants will receive funding support of up to INR 4 lakhs along with mentorship from domain experts and industry leaders, incubation support at IIT Kanpur, access to investors and innovation networks, and opportunities to scale sustainable impact across India and beyond.

The opportunity is open to students and aspiring agripreneurs working on ideas related to agri-tech, food systems, sustainability, rural innovation, and agriculture-focused technologies.
