Opportunities for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Institutions to Strengthen Innovation

India’s next wave of innovation is increasingly emerging from Tier 2 and Tier 3 institutions, where there is strong entrepreneurial potential but relatively limited access to funding, mentorship, and structured support.

The iCreate Bharat Innovation Network is establishing a national partner network to help address this gap by enabling institutions to:

• Provide structured funding support to innovators
• Develop a pipeline of prototype-ready startups
• Gain access to national-level mentors, infrastructure, and visibility

This initiative is part of a ₹3 Crore national innovation programme and offers up to ₹20 Lakhs in funding support per partner, along with additional performance-linked incentives.

Institutions, incubators, and entrepreneurship cells based in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to partner with iCreate and strengthen innovation support within their ecosystems.
